New Hotels In Las Vegas
The Las Vegas strip is an iconic spot, known for world-famous hotels and features like The Fountains at the Bellagio. This spot is busy all year with gamblers, holidaymakers, and families on vacation, so it is no surprise that lots of new hotels have opened up in the area.
1. Fontainebleau Las Vegas (Dec, 2023)
The Fontainebleau hotel-casino started construction in 2007, set to open in 2008. However, due to the recession, it was put on hold after overbudgeting issues led to a Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
The bankrupt project changed a few hands over the years before it was reacquired in 2021 by the original owner, Jeffrey Soffer, the Miami-based chairman of Fontainebleau Development.
After 15 years in the making and a $3,7 billion construction cost, Fontainebleau Las Vegas opened on December 13, 2023.
The entrance invites you into a marble-filled elegant lobby, with a high ceiling, freshly smelling florals filled with roses, crystal lighting, and chrome-gold finishes that scream luxury.
3,644 exquisite suites & rooms adorn the massive 67-story structure. Their grandest accommodation is the Fleur de Lis with up to 10,000 square feet of space and expansive Vegas skyline views.
Luxury suites include a one king-size bedroom, between 1,138-2,022 square feet of space, and mountain-Strip views from panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows. Regular suites cover less than 937 square feet, and the regular guest rooms are 488-660 square feet.
The huge casino covers 150,000 square feet of space and is beautifully lit by warm gold glowing lights and chandeliers. It features 1,300 slot machines, a 13,480 square feet sportsbook, 6 private gaming salons, a 18,350 square foot high-limit gaming area, and 128 gaming tables. Sadly, there is no poker room here.
The palatial high-ceiling interior is filled with over 38 bars and restaurants including: Don’s Prime, La Fontaine, Komodo, Bar Ito, Collins, Papi Steak, Kyu Las Vegas, and La Cote.
Nightlife options are plenty including the world-famous LIV, the busy Bleau Bar filled with huge crystal chandeliers, Nowhere Bar with a live jazz band, and the cute little oasis that is Azul lounge serving mezcal and tequila cocktails.
There is a retail promenade at the center of the second floor filled with coffee shops, burger joints, bakeries, spas, nail salons, and a 14,000 square feet fitness center. Lapis Spa is the main wellness spot covering 55,000 square feet with separate men’s, women’s, and couple’s sections.
There are seven distinct pools scheduled to open in Spring of 2024. They will be spread across different floors and rooftops, offering lots of amenities including poolside gaming areas.

2. Durango Casino & Resort (Dec, 2023)
Durango Casino & Resort is a Station Casinos Resort opened on December 5, 2023 in the Southwest Las Vegas valley in Rhodes Ranch.
The casino-resort has been in the making for over 20 years since Station Casinos bought the property in 2000.
Like many other projects in Las Vegas, it was delayed by the Great Recession but in 2021 the parent company, Red Rock Resorts, proceeded with the project bringing us the current marvel.
It is the first major casino resort in the southwest valley. It features two hotel towers with 209 rooms, all spread across 15-stories and designed with a desert landscape theme.
The resort includes an 83,178 square feet gaming space featuring classic & latest games and an open floorplan, four signature restaurants and bars, alongside a food hall and sportsbook.
Restaurants include Nicco’s, Mijo, Summer house, and the Eat Your Heart Out food hall featuring 11 eateries that serve quick bites and casual dishes. Bel-Aire Lounge and Backyard are the jewel of Durango’s lavish yet serene lifestyle.
The 20,00 square feet of meeting and convention space appeal to corporate, whilst the resort pool area offers private cabanas and a relaxing calm atmosphere for locals.

3. Horseshoe Las Vegas (formerly Bally’s Las Vegas, 2022)
The iconic brand returned to the center of the Strip more than 70 years after the first Horseshoe casino appeared in Downtown Las Vegas. Thanks to a multi-million-dollar renovation, Bally’s Las Vegas has now become the Horseshoe Hotel & Casino Las Vegas.
Caesars rebranded Bally’s Las Vegas on January 26th 2022, a change that did not take effect till December 15th 2022. The name is from the original Binion’s Horseshoe casino that used to be in Downtown Las Vegas.
The name is not the only new thing about the hotel. Horseshoe underwent exterior renovations, new restaurants like Jack Binion’s Steak and M.Y. Asia were introduced, and the casino floor was revamped.
New wallpapers were installed, carpeting redone, and the sportsbook was moved to the main casino. Despite all the changes, all the 2,810 guest rooms remained untouched.
In front of the Horseshoe, a new entertainment venue opened at the Grand Bazaar Shops. It is linked to the county singer and The Voice coach Blake Shelton named Ole Red. This means the Horseshoe should become an exciting new spot for entertainment seekers heading to Las Vegas.

4. The English Hotel (2022)
The Downtown Arts District is one of the coolest new spots in Las Vegas. The English Hotel, the first hotel in the area, is a collaboration between Marriott and celebrity chef Todd English. It’s a little smaller than many Sin City skyscrapers, with just 80 rooms.
Opened at the start of 2022, this hotel is chicly styled with a Roaring ’20s Prohibition theme. You will find English himself preparing food in the Pepper Club. Unwind by the quaint tree-lined pool deck or get room service from a celebrity chef.

5. Resorts World Las Vegas (2021)
Resorts World was a $4 billion project by Malaysian developer Genting. This 59-story hotel was the first Strip resort built from the ground up in more than a decade. Rooms in the hotel are divided among Hilton, Conrad and Crockfords as in-house brands, with the latter being the most luxurious.
This eye-catching tower makes an impression with its eye-popping digital video exterior. The pool complex is one of the most spectacular views in the area, thanks to the infinity pool overlooking The Strip.
Resorts World Las Vegas seamlessly blends the technology and luxury appeal of a contemporary urban resort with the traditions of Las Vegas.

6. Virgin Hotels Las Vegas (2021)
Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is a seamless blend of sophistication with Nevada desert-inspired imagery. Previously Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, just east of the Vegas Strip, the 1,500-room property has the same layout within the three towers.
Much of the layout is the same within the 1,500 hotel rooms in three towers. The casino is run by Mohegan Sun and the pool deck has been updated to include a five-acre promenade with a lawn for live music and other events. Restaurants include an off-Strip Nobu, One Steakhouse and Todd English’s Olives.
The Theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is an update of the 4,5000 person live music venue. Virgin has renovated all three levels to include a modern bar, luxury suites and two new VIP lounge areas. 24 Oxford is an intimate music venue that taps into Virgin Records’ humble beginnings on Oxford Street, championing new bands.

7. SAHARA Las Vegas (2019)
This property has had an identity crisis for many years. It was the glamorous Sahara for many years until it was sold and rebranded as the SLS in 2014. It was sold once more, and the property reverted back to Sahara name in 2019. This boutique spot delivers old-school glamor and all the hallmarks of a fantastic resort experience.
The rooms in this hotel are brighter and more modern, spread across three towers. This is a smaller spot, but they make good use of the limited space. The casino has been given a huge upgrade and the three pool decks have also been transformed to add a rooftop Retro Pool.
Bazaar Meat by Jose Andres is gaining a reputation as one of the best fine dining restaurants in Vegas, while Uno Mas Street Tacos and Northside Cafe are more casual offerings. This is a gay-friendly destination, although it is best known for being home to Magic Mike Live!

8. Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas (2019)
What is now the Waldorf Astoria was known for a long time as the Mandarin Oriental. Although the layout is the same, only reimagined to be more upscale and luxurious. The Shops at City Centre are a short walk from the property, but with stunning views why would you want to leave!
The resort is known as one of the most luxurious hotels on the Strip. It’s a quiet place to stay, just out of the way of the noisy casinos.
Most of the action takes place on the 23rd-floor Sky Lobby, where you’ll find a quaint tea lounge, French fusion cuisine Sky Bar and Twist by Pierre Gagnaire, and even a Moet & Chandon vending machine for Champagne.

9. Park MGM (2018)
The Park MGM was originally known as the Monte Carlo and was built in 1996. The $550 million investment into the built has updated the sterile feel of the building, add a rustic interior design which includes a tree-root ceiling over the lobby.
This is one of the smaller hotels on The Strip, but still manages to be reasonably priced. There are floors dedicated to MoMad Las Vegas, a New York-inspired hotel-within-a-hotel concept that includes its own dedicated lobby, restaurant, pool and bar.
Enjoy prime cuts of beef at Bavette’s Steakhouse or a fine dining take on Asian street food with Roy Choi’s Best Friend. Park MGM is also home to the first Eataly in Las Vegas as well On The Record, which mixes speak-easy with karaoke rooms.

New Hotel In Downtown Las Vegas
10. Circa Resort & Casino (2020)
Circa Resort & Casino is a hotel and casino in downtown Las Vegas. Located on the Fremont Street Experience, this two-story casino is home to a three-story sportsbook and 777 hotel rooms. It is the tallest building in the Fremont Street area, and the first new hotel-casino to be built there since 1980.
Choose from the five on-site restaurants which can to a ran of different cuisines. This restaurant includes Barry’s Downtown Prime Steaks & Cocktails, Saginaw’s Delicatessen, Victory Burger, 8 East, and Project BBQ.
Bars include the Legacy Club Rooftop Cocktails, Vegas Vickies, Mega Bar, Overhang Bar, but the must-see spot is Circa Bar. This is the longest outdoor bar on Fremont Street at 118 feet, with 24 different cocktails and dancing bartenders.

Upcoming Hotels Openings In Las Vegas
It doesn’t look like the transformation and evolution of Las Vegas is going to stop anytime soon. Lots of new luxury hotels will be opening in the upcoming years. Here are just some of the upcoming hotels to look out for during your 2023 or 2024 visit to Sin City.
1. Dream Hotel – On Hold
Dream Hotel is a planned 531-room boutique hotel & casino that was under construction near the Las Vegas Airport and was going to be completed sooner than the end of 2024.
However, the project is currently on hold as the management looks for more funding. A justification letter from Clark County on October 4, 2023 showed the financial issues were being sorted with a resume date set for January 2024.
The massive project has been in the works since February 2020 under a venture of the Contour Real Estate company.
Located at 5051 S Las Vegas Boulevard, Dream Hotel is set to be a convenient location for those who want to be close to the Harry Reid International Airport as well as the T-Mobile Arena.
The development cost is project to be about $550 – $575 million ensuring that the 20,000 square foot space is covered by the casino floor and the rest goes to the 531 rooms as well as the nightlife and dining hotspots.
Dream Hotel is still in its early construction stages since only the foundation has been laid. The company’s dream is to have the 20-story luxury hotel tower as an epitome of contemporary design, dramatic looks, and luxury. We cannot wait to see what a majestic structure it turns out to be.
2. Majestic Hotel – Completed by 2027
Majestic Hotel is far behind on development compared to Dream Hotel. The projected 620 feet tall, 45-story building is set to cost more than $850 million and span a huge area of more than six acres. Apart from its huge ambitious designs, the Majestic Hotel will also set itself apart by being a non-gaming hotel.
Located close to the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Majestic Las Vegas has gone several iterations since Feb 2004 when it was announced by La Concha owner, Lorenzo Doumani. Several iterations were not accepted till 2019 when the county approved the current version for construction near Clarion Hotel & Casino.
Majestic Hotel will feature about seven upscale restaurant and nightlife spots by 2025. With all this in mind, the architect and construction company have projected a very long construction period that will see the hotel up and running by 2027.
3. Tilman Fertitta Hotel
Texas billionaire businessman Tilman Fertitta announced in late 2022 that he and his company Fertitta Entertainment would be constructing a 43-story hotel at the southeast end of the Las Vegas Boulevard.
The project was approved by the Clark County commissioners soon after, giving the owner of the Golden Nugget a chance to build his multi-million-dollar hotel. It has been Tilman’s long-term dream to own a casino on the Las Vegas Strip and it would be fun to see what he does with this huge parcel of land.
Tilman Fertitta Hotel is a placeholder name since the official branding hasn’t yet been announced. However, we know from Tilman’s 2022 statement that it is going to be 43-story tall and host about 2,400 rooms.
There is some speculation online that the hotel is set to open in the last quarter of 2023 but the exact opening date is yet to be announced.
According to the Nevada Independent, vice president with Fertitta Entertainment noted that they are still assessing the viability of the project to see whether Tilman would want to go ahead and put the $270 million land he purchased into building the hotel.
4. Nuance Las Vegas Hotel & Spa – Breaking Ground Early 2024
Nuance Las Vegas is a new 19-story, 340 room hotel & spa boutique project that got approved for construction in June 2023. Located within walking distance from Allegiant Stadium, the project was proposed in September 2021 by New Angle Development for a location at the corner of Polaris and Quail avenues, south of Russel Road.
It is the latest new hotel project in Las Vegas, and the goal is to break ground in early 2024. When completed, the Nuance Las Vegas hotel will include a day spa, ballroom, convention hall, a restaurant, and parking garage (levels 2 – 5), cigar bar & dining area (level 9), and a rooftop bar on level 19.
Although not the most unique ground-breaking addition to the Las Vegas skyline, Nuance Las Vegas is set to fulfill and exploit the lack of any existing non-gaming, non-smoking, full-service, boutique-sized properties providing an alternative experience to the typical massive Las Vegas hotel casino offerings.
