Planet Hollywood is one of the many casinos that has opted out of the free parking options. In a statement to the press, the management said, “In an effort to ensure parking is easily accessible and reserved for resort guests, we have made the decision to move to paid parking.”

However, there are still a good number of casinos in Las Vegas that can get you free parking. These casinos include: Tropicana, YI, Casino Royale, Circus Circus, Venetian and Palazzo, and Wynn & Encore.

We will talk about the parking fees in the Planet Hollywood garage for both self-parking and valet. The charges apply to guests and are paid based on the number of hours you pack at the premises.

Planet Hollywood Self-Parking Fees

Self-parking is complimentary/free for anyone with a Caesars Rewards players’ card on three levels; Platinum, Diamond, and Silver Star. Additionally, registered hotel guests receive free self-parking at the facility same as most casinos and hotels in Las Vegas.

However, according to the management, Nevada Locals are not eligible for getting any complimentary self-parking at the Planet Hollywood garage. Despite that, Nevada residents with a Nevada ID on them can get free parking for up to 3 hours. The normal charges per hours start to apply after the 3 hours.

The self-parking rates are as follows:

  • 0-1 hours = FREE
  • 1-3 Hours = $12
  • 3-24 Hours = $15
  • For every additional 24 Hours = $15
  • Special Events and Holidays = $25 flat fee for 24 hours

Paid parking is very common in Las Vegas these days especially around The Strip. If you want free self-parking at The Strip then you can look into Casino Royale, and Circus Circus who charge for valet parking only, Sahara Las Vegas, Treasure Island, Tropicana, Venetian/Palazzo, Wynn & Encore, and the MGM Strip properties.

Other free parking options are away from The Strip but close enough for you to save a buck. These include OYO, Royal Resort, Trump Tower, Virgin Las Vegas, and Westgate (which has paid parking during peak convention periods).

The $15 per 24 hours may seem expensive for some visitors but it is cheaper than other parking options in places like Westin Las Vegas, and Renaissance which charge $17 for 24 hours self-parking. The average parking fee for 24 hours in Las Vegas properties range from $5 to $12.

Here are a few pros and cons of self-parking at Planet Hollywood:

Pros:

  • It is cheaper than valet parking.
  • You get to choose where to park.
  • There are no extra charges like tipping the valet drivers.
  • It is free off charge for Caesars Reward members and registered hotel guests.

Cons:

  • If you do not check in your luggage at the bell desk then you will have to carry it all the way through the mall into the casino or registration desk.
  • Nevada locals do not get free parking.
  • Events and Holidays will significantly increase the parking fees.
  • Valet parking is more convenient and trustworthy than self-parking.

Valet Parking at Planet Hollywood

Valet Parking is more expensive than self-parking but is very convenient especially when your schedule is tight or you want the simplicity of the process. Some related casinos and hotels in Las Vegas only charge valet parking since it is hard to do away with paid valet parking but some do still offer the free service such as Fashion Show Mall, The Shops at Crystals, and The Shoppes at Mandalay Place.

Below are the valet parking fees by hour at Planet Hollywood. You will ay $32 for 24 hours valet parking during the weekdays and $36 during the weekends. Weekends are more expensive ($2 to $4 more) based on the number of visitors, the hours, and the busy events in the area.

Tipping is customary for valets which will add to the expenses of valet parking. However, the tipping costs are low with most people giving Planet Hollywood valet service drivers between $2 and $5.

The god thing is that the valet prices are set and you do not have to tip more unless you want to. Remember that valet service drivers will usually expect more tips from drivers of luxury vehicles even though it is not mandatory.

Weekdays:

  • 0 – 2 hours = $24
  • 2 – 4 hours = $28
  • 4 – 24 hours = $32

Weekends:

  • 0 – 2 hours = $26
  • 2 – 4 hours = $30
  • 4 – 24 hours = $36

Valet parking at Planet Hollywood means that you will not need to check in the luggage at the bell desk as in self-parking. It also gives you a convenient way to get into Planet Hollywood without walking a lot from the garage. Choose to pay for self-parking if you want to save a buck but opt for valet to do less walking and save some time.

Here are other pros and cons to consider for valet parking at Planet Hollywood:

Pros:

  • Valet is less tedious for large groups unlike self-parking.
  • Valet parking prices at Planet Hollywood do not change during events or holidays.
  • It is more trustworthy and safer than self-parking.

Cons:

  • Valet parking may take up your time when you are in a hurry to get to your vehicle.
  • Tipping the valet driver increases the parking fees.

Planet Hollywood Parking Directions

Its easy to get to the Planet Hollywood Parking garage if you are from The Strip. You will want to head north from The Strip (Las Vegas Boulevard) and turn right into the Harmon Avenue. Stay on the left side of the lane on Harmon Avenue and take the first left when you get to Planet Hollywood Way. You will be able to see the garage on your left where the valet entrance is.

You will then drive through the valet entrance if you want to park your vehicle. Proceed to first leave your luggage at the bell desk on your way to the garage. The reason for leaving your luggage at the bell desk is to ensure you do not have to carry the heavy bags through the mall when you leave for the casino and registration desk.
