A.Y.C.E. Buffet, Palms Casino Resort

Overview

A.Y.C.E. Buffet

Among the most recent to reopen its doors, the A.Y.C.E. Buffet at Palms Casino Resort is finally back.

Thanks to the combination of a wide range of high-quality food and surprisingly reasonable prices, A.Y.C.E. is known as one of Vegas’ best value buffets.

However, for seafood lovers who want something a little bit special – and don’t mind paying a bit extra – there are two options that will satisfy all your seafood cravings.

Friday nights are prime rib nights and snow crab nights, and Wednesday & Thursday dinners are lobster nights – and although these options cost more than the regular dinner, like everything else at this buffet, they still represent great value for money.

Seafood highlights

Wednesday & Thursday nights Seafood:

Fans of lobster will love the opportunity to gorge themselves on unlimited whole lobsters and lobster tails.

The $64.99 Wednesday lobster dinners are definitely worth it with their tender, fresh out of the kitchen butter poached lobster tails.

Fridays Seafood:

The lobsters are replaced by succulent chilled snow crab legs – as well as prime rib.

Along with these stars of the show, you can look forward to other seafood delights such as chilled or steamed shrimp, seafood ceviche, octopus salad and garlic butter spiced prawns.

You will also find yourself being tempted by piles of bright red crawfish, shrimp cocktail and dishes such as creamy shrimp and shell pasta. There’s also a good selection of sushi and sashimi along with several seafood dim sum options.

These are highly popular dinners with long waiting times that can span up to four hours. Reservations are highly recommended.

What else do they serve?

At A.Y.C.E, the different areas are organized by the style of cooking rather than country of origin, and there are seven distinct sections: World Pan, Revival, The Greenery, The Roastery, The Hearth, Smoke & Fire and Sweet & Light.

The Roastery and Smoke & Fire provide meat-eaters with all the honey-glazed ham, beef brisket, assorted sausages and roast chicken they can manage while The Hearth specializes in oven-cooked treats like pizza as well as made-to-order pasta dishes.

Revival is a health food enthusiast’s dream, with highlights including jackfruit coconut curry, The Greenery provides a wide range of salads, World Pan offers delectable dishes like Jamaican jerk chicken and Sweet & Light is where to head for desserts like peach cobbler.

Like Excalibur, Luxor is owned by MGM, and the food and overall experience there are also quite similar.

It isn’t a high-end buffet, and it doesn’t have the largest range of food in town, but it’s still a good pick if you want value for money – and there should be enough seafood options to keep most diners happy.
